Barb and Mark Bender each had successful businesses in the “corporate” world, and even today continue to straddle the fence a bit:
Barb began her career as a registered nurse, eventually moving to the business side of health care where she has remained for over 30 years. Today, she continues to work as a healthcare consultant to healthcare provider organizations throughout Minnesota, cheating every so often to work in, and enjoy her dream, Foggy Bottom.
Mark owned and operated a mid-size offset printing company for 32 years, located in St. Paul, MN before selling the company to launch his print sales business. Today Mark maintains a successful print-brokering business which occupies about half of his time enabling him to dedicate the rest of his time to Foggy Bottom.
Sara manages Foggy Bottom on a full-time basis. Sara has a degree in Business Management / Marketing and has taken additional classes towards becoming a veterinary technician. After working in a variety of business management positions, she joined Foggy Bottom in 2010 as our Herd Manager, and is dedicated full-time to care of the animals. Sara also owns and operates Over the Rainbow Alpaca Ranch.
